At BuildRite LLC, we focus on building highly energy-efficient exterior wall systems that reduce energy loss, minimize thermal bridging, and create a tighter, more comfortable home. Continuous Exterior Insulation (CI) is one of the most effective ways to improve a home's energy performance. By installing rigid insulation boards or Rockwool mineral wool on the exterior of the wall assembly, we create a continuous thermal barrier that covers framing members, significantly reducing heat transfer and helping prevent condensation within the wall cavity. To further enhance efficiency, we combine continuous insulation with advanced framing techniques and premium building systems such as Huber ZIP System® R-Sheathing. This integrated system combines structural sheathing, a weather-resistant barrier, an air barrier, and continuous insulation in a single panel. The 1.5-inch ZIP System R-Sheathing provides an insulation value of approximately R-6.6, helping reduce thermal bridging while improving overall wall performance. Sealed Sheathing Systems such as Huber ZIP System® also eliminate the need for traditional housewrap. All panel joints are taped and sealed, creating a durable air and water barrier that helps prevent air leaks, moisture intrusion, and energy loss. The result is a stronger, healthier, and more energy-efficient home that performs better in North Carolina's climate while reducing long-term heating and cooling costs.
